Job Type: Full-time Schedule: Local routes · Home every night Service: White Glove Delivery JOB SUMMARY We are hiring a Delivery Driver to operate a 26-foot box truck on local delivery routes throughout Raleigh and the surrounding area. You will work as part of a two-person delivery team transporting and delivering furniture and appliances directly into customers' homes. This is a hands-on, white glove delivery position. Responsibilities include safely moving items into homes, positioning and assembling products, completing basic appliance installations when trained and required, and providing professional customer service at every stop. Routes typically include 8–12 stops per day, and drivers are home every night. RESPONSIBILITIES - Safely operate a 26-foot box truck on local delivery routes - Complete approximately 8–12 deliveries per day - Deliver furniture and appliances into customers' homes - Safely navigate stairs, hallways, doorways and other challenging spaces - Unpack, assemble and position furniture and appliances - Complete basic appliance connections and installations when trained - Remove packaging materials and old appliances when required - Use a phone-based delivery app to document deliveries and obtain customer signatures - Complete required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections - Maintain the vehicle and delivery equipment in safe, clean, working condition - Communicate delivery issues or delays to the office promptly - Provide professional and courteous service to customers WHAT WE OFFER - $22.00 per hour - Weekly pay via direct deposit - Home every night - Local delivery routes - Paid training for installation and assembly - Company-provided truck and delivery equipment - Two-person delivery teams - Opportunity to join a growing Raleigh delivery operation Contact: hr@ontimelogisticsops.com
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS - Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record - Must be at least 21 years old - Ability to pass a DOT physical and maintain a current medical card - Ability to repeatedly lift up to 75 pounds and safely move heavier items with a partner or equipment - Comfortable using appliance dollies, straps, liftgates and stair-climbing equipment - Ability to work safely in residential environments, including stairs and tight spaces - Ability to pass a background check and drug screening - Prior box truck, delivery, moving or similar experience preferred - Previous delivery experience is helpful, but training is available for the right candidate PREFERRED EXPERIENCE Experience with any of the following is a plus: - Furniture delivery and assembly - Appliance delivery or installation - Furniture or appliance retail delivery - Water line connections and dryer vent installation - Residential moving or other two-person delivery work
